We're stuck here in Summerville for car repairs on the way to FL and have been ordering take out. We had hibachi at Thai Taco and it was excellent! I highly recommend.
Food is always good, service is quick, they have good music and tasty drinks. Some of the best sushi in North Carolina. I recommend the anaconda roll.
Their noodle dishes are absolutely great. The drunken noodles is my favorite dish. The sushi tacos are good too! The service was great. The ambiance is cool
I stopped by Thai Taco with my wife to grab some dinner. Neither of us had eaten there before so we thought we'd have a little adventure. The outside of the building was rather plain looking and not really inviting. However, once you step inside there are streamers having from the ceiling, a disco ball in the middle of the dining area and a large mirror wall with balloon hearts. It was a bit like walking into a high school prom but in a fun and quirky way. I don't know if this is always how it is decorated but since no one mentioned ruined it, I assume it was normal. The building itself had a dining room, where we ate, a bar was beside it that had both indoor and dining outdoor seating. The menu had many vegan options for me to eat even though the friendly waitress didn't seem to be too aware of what is or isn't vegan. Luckily the menu u used a (V) for "lacto-ovo-vegetarian and/or vegan" options. This made it pretty easy to see what was available. The two entrees I ordered had vegan in the name. For an appetizer I ordered the vegan summer rolls with peanut sauce. It was fresh and light. The vegetables were crisp and tasty. For my entry I ordered the vegan tacos. I was going to add tofu to them but the waitress said the tofu was raw and not cooked so I left it as it was depicted on the menu u (minus bell peppers). The tacos were tasty and didn't feel heavy after eating. I would order them again but honestly I'm more interested in trying a noodle entree in the future.
We came in as soon as they opened, so it was quiet and empty as one could assume at 4 in the afternoon. It's discretely tucked away from the main road. The atmosphere was nice. Two different vibes between rooms, so that threw us off. But not awful! Our server was super nice and attentive. My boyfriend and I ordered 2 appetizers and an entree each - both came out pretty quickly. Food was good - but not different than any other sushi/thai place. We are for sure going to come back though. Only thing to note on the food is the sushi taco is a little awkward to eat. Next time we'll get the roll instead.
